Iron powder cores are magnetic cores made from finely powdered iron particles, they are distributed air gap cores. The insulation between particles reduces eddy currents and associated losses. This construction results core with excellent inductance stability under both DC &AC conditions, high resistivity, low hysteresis & eddy current losses. Iron Powder Cores commonly used in inductors, transformers, and other electromagnetic devices in electrical and electronic field.

Types of powder core:

  • In High-frequency application:Carbonyl Iron Powder Cores Made from highly pure iron, those powdered iron core excellent magnetic properties.
  •  Not Ultra-high frequency field:Reduced Iron Powder Cores are less pure than carbonyl iron core, which cost is a high.
  • Special Types of Iron Powder Core Application:Sendust and Molypermalloy Powder (MPP) Cores, which include additional materials (e.g., silicon, aluminum, or molybdenum) to enhance certain properties such as permeability and saturation flux density.
